PageOneQ "I'm almost afraid to ask what the in-flight movie is," quips CBS5's Ken Bastida. On Tuesday night, Air New Zealand's inaugural "pink flight" took off from San Francisco, to arrive in Australia for Saturday's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney. The plane, which was adorned with a pink feather boa and fake eyelashes before takeoff, would go on to offer pink-themed gifts, cuisine and decor for the passengers, along with a host of festivities such as drag shows and screening of LGBT-themed movies. Hosts included comedienne Kathy Griffin, also filming her experience on the flight for her reality show "My Life on the D-List," and New Zealand drag queens Buckwheat, Tess Tickle, Venus Mantrap and Miss Ribena, said Air New Zealand's Roger Poulton to The West Australian. "I give [Griffin] a lot of credit," says one blogger. "She couldn't have been nicer or more patient with everyone, taking pictures with anyone who wanted them and she treated everyone like they were the only one."
