Knight and musicians Janet Jackson and Lance Bass, King speaks out in support of 15-year-old Lawrence "Larry" King, fatally shot by a classmate following confrontation culminating from a long history of being bullied for his feminine mannerisms and attire. "Larry King and I share more in common than just our names," he says. "We both believe that all students should be free to be themselves without the fear of name-calling, bullying, or harassment." This Friday, hundreds of thousands of students are expected to remain silent during the course of the school day in an expression of solidarity with LGBT students, commonly marginalized and bullied for not conforming to sociosexual stereotypes.
