Newspaper threatened after publishing announcement of gay couple's commitment ceremony

A same-sex couple in Missouri have come under fire for publicly announcing their commitment ceremony in their local newspaper.
John Scott Jr. and Elijah Davidson, both age 29, ran the announcement in the Warrensburg Daily Star-Journal, prompting three advertisers and several subscribers to threaten to pull their business.
"I want people to know that he makes me happy," says Davidson, "and all we want is to be happy just like straight couples."
