"It’s important to shine a light on the news of the day, Cindi Creager, GLAAD's Director of National News told PageOneQ, "and encourage readers, viewers and listeners to respond to the good and the bad."
The page displays stories of interest to the community and suggests visitors send messages to the source of the story either praising or condemning the publication's portrayal of the gay community. "GLAAD's Best and Worst listing updates you with synopses and analyses of stories that merit your attention and action," notes the newsletter's home page.
"At the end of the day this type of interaction will support and encourage more fair, accurate and inclusive mainstream media coverage of LGBT issues," Creager added.
