Former Governor of New Jersey, James McGreevey, is living as an openly gay man, he tells Matt Lauer in an interview on NBC Today Show. McGreevey was forced to resign as governor when it became public that he was living a secret life as a gay man.

In a his new book, "The Confession", McGreevey says that he has taken responsibility for the mistakes, lies, and deceptions during his time in public office. The former governor is attending a 12-step program to help him confront his feelings. He hopes that his book will provide some comfort to adolescents who are just learning that they are attracted to the same sex.
