'The L Word' founder to launch Lesbian social networking site

Ilene Chaiken, executive producer of the award winning television show, The L Word, and a group of other leading women in entertainment and technology, have announced the debut of OurChart.com, a site designed expressly for lesbians and their friends. Hilary Rosen, the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), will serve as president of the new venture.
"I wanted to take the experience I have had telling stories on the L Word and expand it to an interactive medium so that women can tell their own stories and share their own interests," Chaiken said in a statement released by the company.
“Our top priority is that users find a welcoming environment when they visit OurChart.com," said Rosen. The statement noted that the site will have the ability to partner with businesses
