Federal Govt. will release all LGBT surveillance documents

On Wednesday, April 19, lawyers representing the The Servicemembers Legal Defense Network and the Federal Government met in court over the government's failure to release all documents relating to the surveillance of LGBT and other organizations involved in efforts to repeal the Military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, PageOneQ has learned. Judge Rosemary Collyer encouraged the government to set up a timeline for completing its search of the documents and the government agreed to a a timeline established by the court. The government agreed that the agencies will turn over documents on the following dates:

Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA): Must turn over all documents by April 27, 2006
Department of Defense (DOD): Must turn over all documents by May 4, 2006
Department of Justice (DOJ): Must turn over all documents by May 11, 2006
